Note: Indra's warranty covers the charge point only. We do not manufacture or supply the external components used during installation, so responsibility for these components rests with the installation company.
Switchgear should have a test button marked with “TEST” or the letter “T”.
If there is no test button, please contact your installer for further advice.
- Identify the RCD/RCBO supplying your EV charger
- Make sure the switch is in the On (Up) position ⬆️
- Press the TEST button
- The switch should flick to the Off (Down) position. ⬇️
- If it does, the test has passed ✅
- If it does NOT flick to the down position the test has failed ❌
What Does This Mean?
- Pass: The RCD/RCBO is working correctly and will protect against electric shock in case of a fault.
- Fail: There may be no power to the device, or it could be faulty. Contact your installer or a qualified electrician.
